Proud Moments ABA seeks a Senior Manager, Finance to manage Proud Moments ABA's accounting operations including AP, month-end close, and local tax compliance.  This role reports to the Vice President of Finance and will act as a player-coach for a team of 4-7 people to ensure efficient ongoing operations and continued improvement of the accounting department.  The Senior Manager, Finance will be expected to allocate team resources and delegate responsibilities to support a fast-growing organization by building a scalable accounting function.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, Finance at Proud Moments ABA, you'll be challenged to realize your leadership potential:

  • Manage the month end close process – Review and approve journal entries. Coach the team toward more efficient processing of routine journal entries. Liaise with Payroll to ensure that payroll journals are posted completely, accurately, and timely. Review cost center P&Ls and accrue unpaid expenses.
  • Manage the AP function/team to ensure compliance with applicable purchasing policies and timely payment of approved invoices.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting. Educate others in the Company about capitalization rules/criteria.
  • Manage non-income tax filings and registrations such as business license tax, gross receipts tax, personal property tax, etc.
  • Execute AP payments and cash management transfers as directed by Finance department leadership.
  • Collaborate with Finance department leadership on setting accounting policy and internal controls for the organization.
  • Administer various short term and long-term systems or programs such as expense reporting tools, purchasing systems/processes, leveraged purchasing agreements, or other projects as may arise.
  • Support the VP of Finance in managing the annual audit, annual tax return preparation, and various audits and inquiries that may arise from time to time.
  • Continuously evaluate accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure fitness for purpose as well as adequate controls, timeliness, and efficiency.

Qualifications

As a Senior Manager, Finance candidate, you bring to Proud Moments ABA:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, with particular emphasis on ASC606 – Revenue Recognition, ASC842 – Leases, ASC740 – Income Tax, ASC 350 – Intangible Assets, and ASC360 – PP&E.
  • NetSuite experience.
  • Ability to understand process and data flows within an organization and tap into those flows to extract accounting information.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
  • Basic familiarity with relational databases and data visualization tools (Power BI, Power Query, Solution 7, for example).
  • 5+ years in people management roles.
  • 10+ years of experience in public, private, or not-for-profit accounting functions.

Salary Range:  $145K-$160K Annually + Bonus
